Participant Waiver & Image Release

2. Health Acknowledgment

I confirm that I am physically able to participate in the activities offered at this event, which include but are not limited to self-defense training and techniques (which may involve physical contact with instructors and/or other participants), physical movement and exercise, and breathwork. I understand that I am voluntarily participating and that I am solely responsible for assessing my own physical condition and limitations before and during the event.

3. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in self-defense training, physical activity, and breathwork carries inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, strain, bruising, and, in rare cases, more serious harm. I voluntarily assume all such risks, known and unknown, arising from my participation, whether caused by negligence of the organizers, instructors, other participants, or otherwise.

4. Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Defend & Flow, its owners, instructors, employees, volunteers, and the venue and its owners (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, illness, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me while participating in this event, except to the extent caused by the gross negligence or intentional misconduct of a Released Party.

5. Venue & Equipment Responsibility

This event takes place in a rented space, and equipment and supplies are provided for participant use. By participating, I agree to:

• Treat the venue, its furnishings, and fixtures with care and respect.
• Treat all provided equipment (including but not limited to yoga mats, boxing wraps, and other supplies) with care and use it only as instructed.
• Accept financial responsibility for any damage to the venue, its property, or provided equipment caused by my negligence, misuse, or intentional act.

I understand that I may be held personally liable for the cost of repair or replacement of any damaged property resulting from my actions.

6. Code of Conduct

This is a women’s-only event built on mutual respect and community. Defend & Flow reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse entry to, or remove from the event, any participant for any reason, including but not limited to conduct that is rude, disrespectful, disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate toward instructors, staff, other participants, or the venue. In the event of removal for such conduct, I understand and agree that I am not entitled to a refund (where applicable) and waive any claim arising from such removal.

7. Photo, Video & Image Release

I grant Defend & Flow permission to photograph and/or video record me during this event and to use my name, image, and likeness in photographs, videos, and recordings for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes, without compensation. I understand that participation in this event constitutes my consent to being photographed and recorded, and that such images and recordings may be used commercially by Defend & Flow.

8. Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida. I agree that any dispute arising from this agreement or my participation in the event shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

9. Acknowledgment

I have read this waiver, release of liability, and consent form in its entirety. I understand its contents, and I sign it freely and voluntarily. I am at least 18 years of age.
